A drunk Japanese man in his 60′ was arrested to repeatedly kick Pepper in a fit of rage at a Softbank store in Japan. The man, who apparently was unsatisfied with the attitude of a store clerk, caused severe damage to the emotion-reading robot. Pepper is a social humanoid robot designed to live with humans and went on sale in Japan in February 2015. Softbank is the company that comercializes it in this country and several Pepper units can be found in their stores to entertain and help customers.
